Production and casting of non-ferrous metals are highly heat intensive processes and its gases contain a lot of heat energy. We are in discussions with Copper-, Alloys-, Nickel-, Manganese- as well as metal-recycling-industries to explore the value of Thermagy in the different stages of their processes.
We have several discussions ongoing in the non-ferrous industry about pre-feasibility studies and pilots in which we’re discussing the Thermagy hot spots to make maximum use of Thermagy’s value. A first Thermagy pilot is now running at Tata Steel IJmuiden, a second pilot is taking place at the Dutch branches of St. Gobain, Ardagh, Libbey and O-I that are united in the Dutch Association of the Glass Industry (VNG).
