The potential of cogeneration by burning fuels is huge. Around 20% of generated heat in the stove is lost as waste, of which nowadays nothing is recovered.
RGS has selected the high temperature heat ranging from 700oC to 1500oC to work in. The silicon based thermoelectric material produced by RGS has its optimal power output in this temperature range. The heat flows are also sufficient for hot water supplies.
In particular a selection was made for co-generation in the mobile and domestic industry. In these industries high temperature processes with high level of heat is demanded in combination with power consumption.
Thermagy can be integrated as co-generation unit to meet heat demand and energy consumption.
A compact ThermagyTM co-generation module, built into a domestic heating system, generating sufficient electrical power for stand-alone operation. Less grid electricity consumption, smaller battery pack, security against power dips or black outs.
A compact ThermagyTM co-generation module, build into a woodstove or a biomass system. Elimination of the diesel generator / Reduce the battery storage system, reduce gas consumption.
A compact ThermagyTM co-generation module, build into a mobile heating system to generate power when heating. Reduced battery bank weight, reduced generator noise, runs on primary fuel source, complementary to solar.
